Account Executive


Job Description:


An Account Executive carries out most of the day-to-day account execution and administrative reporting to a senior account executive or account manager, as appropriated. They should be a capable and confident operator who has a refined understanding of basic media and communication skills and who is proficient in all necessary media tools available to create the required media coverage in all PR areas. The role should be to carry out all supportive tasks as directed to execute the strategies and activities as detailed by their account managers/directors and ensure that their accounts are well organized and structured.


Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Client Liaison:

  • Develop an understanding of property sector and client businesses

  • Day-to-day contact, advising clients of progress on individual projects

  • Contributing to the production of regular status reports

  • Attending update meetings


Media Relations:

  • Develop effective working relationships with journalists

  • Researching and producing media distribution lists

  • Creation of press releases for clients

  • Distributing press releases to on-line and off-line media with record keeping

  • Monitoring coverage and managing the media monitoring service


New Business Support:

  • Support new business pitches by undertaking relevant desk research

  • Contributing to pitch documents


Event Management:

  • Providing clients with event proposals

  • Organizing catering, venues, entertainment, etc.

  • Producing and distributing invitations

  • Organizing VIP visits/lists



  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, i.e. keeping accurate time sheets, etc.

  • General office duties, i.e. collecting newspapers, taking post, etc.

  • Contributing to keeping the office clean and tidy


Necessary Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent writing and proofreading ability

  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills

  • Competent with information technology including Microsoft Office, Photoshop, social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.

  • Well organized and eagerness to learn

  • Good sense of humor

  • Understand the need to maintain strict confidentiality of the company's affairs and client business
